Privacy, without
the mystery.
A clear explanation of what can happen to information when you visit, interact with the artwork, or contact this independent project.
This notice describes the intended static-site and current 3D prototype setup. Before publication, the operator should verify actual hosting logs, CDN usage, analytics, cookies and email retention; those details cannot be determined from page code alone.
Who this notice covers
This Privacy Policy describes how Zoomquilt2.org handles information in connection with its interactive 3D experience, informational pages and messages sent to blooginga@gmail.com. The site’s publicly identified contact for privacy questions is this email address.
This notice is written for the current lightweight website setup. The site operator should revise it before enabling advertising, analytics, registration, payments, a hosted contact-form service or any other feature that changes data practices.
Information involved in a visit
Messages you choose to send
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, name if provided, the contents of your message and any files or technical details you include. Please avoid sending passwords, financial credentials, identification documents or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary.
Technical information from web requests
Even when a website does not ask visitors to sign in, its hosting provider and related delivery services may process routine technical information such as IP addresses, dates and times, requested page paths, browser type, operating system, referrer information and error records. This information can be needed to deliver pages, investigate failures and maintain network security.
In-browser interactions
Actions such as opening a menu or adjusting a 3D journey’s playback speed are handled in the visitor’s browser in the current prototype. Those controls do not, by themselves, require a visitor profile or account.
Why information may be used
Information may be used to:
- Reply to an inquiry, support request, privacy request or intellectual-property concern you submit.
- Deliver web pages, scripts and interactive 3D assets to your device.
- Maintain service reliability, prevent misuse and diagnose technical issues.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and protect legitimate rights where necessary.
Where data-protection rules require a legal basis, these activities may rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing the website, the steps necessary to respond to a user’s request, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent where a specific optional feature requires it. The applicable basis depends on the processing activity and your location.
Hosting, email and third-party services
A static website still depends on infrastructure. Hosting and network providers may receive technical request data. If the 3D engine loads Three.js from a content delivery network—for example, cdn.jsdelivr.net—the browser makes a request to that provider under its own operating and privacy practices.
Messages sent to our email address are handled by the relevant email service, including services that transport or store the message. We may disclose limited information when required by law or to investigate credible abuse or rights concerns. We do not use messages submitted through the contact route as a product for sale to data brokers.
External websites linked here operate independently. Please review their own policies before sharing information with them.
How long information is kept
Email correspondence is kept only for as long as it remains reasonably needed to handle the inquiry, follow up on a request, maintain a relevant record or satisfy an applicable obligation. Hosting and security log retention is controlled by the relevant service configuration and provider policies; the operator should confirm those schedules before publication.
When information is no longer needed, the operator should delete it or otherwise handle it according to an appropriate retention procedure, except when preservation is required by law or a legitimate dispute.
International processing and safeguards
The site can be accessed internationally. Depending on where hosting, email and delivery services operate, technical information or correspondence may be processed in locations outside your country. Applicable safeguards and rights depend on the service and relevant law.
Reasonable steps should be taken to protect the systems used for the site and correspondence; however, no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not send sensitive personal information through ordinary email unless necessary.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to particular uses. Where consent is used as a legal basis, you may also have the right to withdraw it.
To make a request, email blooginga@gmail.com with the subject “Zoomquilt2.org Privacy Request,” and explain what you would like us to review. We may need to verify that a request relates to your own information before acting. You may also have a right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.
Children and external destinations
The website is intended as a general art experience and is not designed to solicit personal information from children. Parents or guardians who believe a child sent personal information can contact us for review.
Links to third-party websites, hosting resources or development libraries are not controlled by Zoomquilt2.org. Their content and privacy practices may differ from ours.
Updates and contact
We may revise this policy when the website’s features, technology, providers or legal requirements change. A revised policy will show a new last-updated date. Significant changes to information handling should be described before new processing begins where the law requires it.
Questions, requests or concerns can be directed to blooginga@gmail.com. This is currently the public contact address for the website.
